Wondering what life at Podium is like and what makes our teams mortgage superheroes?
Creating a workplace environment of transparency, ownership, and accountability, to empower managers and their teams is what drives us on a day-to-day basis.
Here at Podium, we all believe in creating a workplace environment where passionate and talented people can succeed. You'll find an open, collaborative and inclusive team of problem solvers all helping to build the digital mortgage platform of the future.
Podium empowers its employees to take ownership, make decisions and be accountable to them. We think this is the right way to make an impact when your team is small and your ambition is large.
By caring deeply about each other, our customers, and our mission, we’re building a company that’s proud to put people first.
Our culture fosters a "work hard, play hard" mindset, and we also aim to do good not just by the mortgage market, but society on a larger scale by supporting charities and fundraisers.
Every year we have an offsite where we celebrate our efforts over the year. We’ve been zip-lining and white water rafting and are always looking for new ideas to try out. We also take time to celebrate achievements throughout the year and are partial to the odd pub trip.
We’re not just good at our day jobs, we have an eclectic mix of other interests ranging from running, cycling, climbing and pro-wrestling to computer gaming, dice making, quilting, painting and Luchador mask making.
At Podium we want to change the way mortgages work and we understand the need to challenge the status quo. We always encourage people to challenge and drive changes in the way we work and love to have input from everyone.
At Podium we support Education for the Children, a charity which has set up a school in Guatemala. Several of us have been out to experience first-hand the great work being done. We’ve had several fundraising events and always have a table or two at the annual auction ball.
We have a great space in the centre of Nottingham overlooking Old Market Square. We’ve been able to personalise our office including a mural painted by Nottingham students.
We know the best way to achieve great work is for smart people to work together and learn from each other. We’re always happy to talk through a problem and support everyone’s work.
